These shirts share a design recalling the Chinese eclipse myth of a dragon eating the sun.   The
black shirt on the left (worn by Yuna Kuwahara) was made for the Costa Classica cruise organised
by Roy and Bonnie Mayhugh.  The other (worn by Donald Kay) was made by Griffith Observatory
in Los Angeles

             
David Bevan of Sydney, Australia, thought he had missed the 2009 eclipse in China because of
bad weather.  But a hole opened in the clouds at totality, and he saw the eclipse while standing in
the rain.  He said the rain gave the eclipse a greenish colour

photos of the eclipse.   They are pictured on the airstrip on Mangaia in the Cook Islands, where the
sky was cloudy for the 2010 eclipse
