I was there, but I made the shirt thirty years later. And yes, the swans in Western
Australia are
black. The black swan is the symbol of the state. It appears on
everything from the state's coat
of arms to the local lager. It appeared on postage stamps in the
nineteenth century before Australia was federated into a single country, and the
capital city is on the Swan River
